Preparation for Aquarium Use:

Boil: Boil the pods for at least 1-2 hours to help them sink and leach initial tannins. These pods can be difficult to waterlog.

Soak: Soak in clean water overnight or longer if needed, changing water daily, until they are fully waterlogged and the desired amount of tannin has been leached.

Ready to Use: Once they sink and you've achieved your desired water coloration, they are ready to add to your setup. These pods may need to be weighed down, or simply let them float until they become waterlogged and sink.
