Our Story

NaturePods was founded by Sara Kemp, a lifelong animal and nature lover whose passion for living ecosystems runs deep. Sara began keeping dart frogs and bioactive vivariums in 2010, and over the years developed a thorough understanding of the critical role that natural botanicals play in creating healthy, thriving habitats — from the leaf litter on a vivarium floor to the seed pods and tannins that define a blackwater aquarium.

After years of sourcing botanicals from scattered suppliers with inconsistent quality, Sara founded NaturePods with a clear mission: to provide hobbyists with premium, affordable, pet-safe botanicals from a single trusted source. Every product in our catalog is something Sara has personally used, tested, and believed in.
