Palm pods are the cup-like seed pod of the Borassus flabellifer tree found across tropical Asia. When dried, these unique woody pods make great additions to natural bioactive enclosures and blackwater and biotope aquascapes on the botanical method. Isopods and springtails enjoy colonizing the fibrous texture of palm pods, and fish, shrimp, invertebrates, and small reptiles and amphibians will use them as hides.

Aquarium Preparation
