Aquarium: When properly prepared, Mini Arjuna pods release a moderate amount of tannins, promote biofilm, create microfauna hotspots, and contribute to a naturalistic blackwater aquascape. Note: these pods are very lightweight and tend to float — a longer boil and soak may be required, or simply let them float until they sink naturally.

Aquarium Preparation

Boil: Boil for at least 15 minutes to help them sink and leach initial tannins. A longer boil may be needed due to their lightweight nature.

Soak: Soak in clean water overnight or longer, changing water daily, until fully waterlogged and desired tannin level is reached.

Ready to Use: Once they sink and you've achieved your desired water coloration, add to your tank.
